Road Trip was written for a Flash Fiction competition in the space of 55 hours. The rules were:

• A max. of 500 words.

• Your story’s first sentence must contain exactly THREE WORDS.

• Your story must include A FIRST of some kind. (Open to interpretation.)

• Your story must include A CANDLE.
